If your ever just posted at home relaxing or taking a long peaceful drive somewhere on a Saturday evening do yourself a favor and switch your dial to 89.9fm KCRW. The program is called "Chocolate City" hosted by Garth Trinidad. It's a nice mix of eclectic, non-mainstream music from all over the world. You may hear alot of artists from the UK as well as familiar names like J*Davey, J-Dilla, Vikter Duplaix, Little Brother and the list goes on. I promise you'll appreciate it.

In my opinion the few hole in the wall spots Cali has to offer that spin what you may hear on this station are the best spots to frequent. Most of the music you hear can be found online or at Amoeba Records. One thing I appreciate is that after each set they tell you what they played and if you miss it or don't know how to spell it (lol) you can go online anytime and find the time a song played so that you can find out exactly what is was.
